About the role
This role will oversee the entire Risk Management AE team for staffing, training, and account assignments while also managing a book of a few of our largest and most complex accounts.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of colleagues in providing coordinated brokerage and services to clients.
- Coordinate brokerage teams, risk control, claims, and financial lines to ensure all services are delivered and expectations are met.
- Establish, drive processes, and monitor critical timelines for annual insurance renewals of clients.
- Assist with renewal meetings to present results to established client contacts.
- Participate in client meetings and lead when necessary.
- Understand complex financial analysis and claims data.
- Participate as needed in prospect presentation meetings.
- Identify and facilitate possible areas for expanded business with existing clients.
- Prepare renewal submissions for marketing; send and process complete renewal submissions.
- Analyze quotes for accuracy and prepare spreadsheets of all quotes received.
- Assist in data analysis to determine program structure options.
- Create client presentations including quotes, spreadsheets, contract comparisons, and other internal marketing materials.
- Oversee implementation processes.
- Review documents issued by insurance companies for accuracy and submit incorrect documents for revision.
- Supervise support staff to help manage workflow.
Management Responsibilities
- Act as a resource for AEs, AAEs, and AMs in Risk Management.
- Complete annual goal setting, oversight, and day-to-day management of the Risk Management service team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required; substantial work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- State-specific license is required.
- 15+ years of commercial insurance work experience with large accounts is required.
- Both AE work and broking/placement experience a major plus, demonstrating increased technical insurance knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong multitasking and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Publisher).
- Professional in appearance and business conduct with strong customer service.
- Ability to travel to client and prospect meetings approximately 20% of the time.

$250–275k
