Gregory — named PR Agency of the Year by PR Daily and to PRWeek's Best Places to Work list — is seeking a Senior Account Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate excels at driving media relations and client communication, with a strong focus on managing media relations for multiple clients from idea conception through media outreach and securing opportunities. Interest or experience in the financial services industry is a plus. Candidates must be within commuting distance to our Boston or NYC office.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify story opportunities and industry trends, and place stories in the media.
  • Conduct media outreach, targeting high-value media contacts and directing junior staff.
  • Write press releases, blog posts, media queries, bylines, and social media posts.
  • Edit content to align with strategic campaign messaging and meet all compliance requirements.
  • Brief clients on anticipated interview topics and themes, and prepare approved talking points in advance of appearances.
  • Support the Vice President in onboarding new clients, including implementing scope of work, creating messaging matrices, and identifying short- and long-term campaign goals.
  • Engage with clients via email, phone, video conference, or in-person, addressing concerns and recalibrating expectations as needed.
  • Lead and participate in client calls and briefings, providing strategic input, analysis, and updates.
  • Stay current on industry-specific issues, processes, terms, products, and regulations by following relevant media, blogs, and social feeds.
  • Develop expertise in sophisticated issues impacting clients’ businesses and industries.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in communications, public relations, journalism, English, or a related field.
  • Four to seven years of PR experience.
  • Passion for media relations.
  • Understanding of AI and its applications in supporting work.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team-oriented attitude with the ability to collaborate across all levels.
  • Strong client-service focus.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and operational/productivity tools.
