What You Will Be Doing
- Facilitating one-hour life skills sessions on public speaking, concentration, and feedback for a cohort of 15–20 K–12 learners, applying gt.school's curriculum alongside your own academic background
- Conducting personalized motivation meetings, leveraging Coachbot analytics to monitor each student's progress in learning applications relative to their objectives
- Overseeing mastery-based Test2Pass evaluations to validate student skill acquisition
- Adjusting instruction dynamically through narrative techniques, credibility earned from your academic record, and AI-driven personalization to maintain challenge and engagement for gifted students
- Monitoring performance against benchmarks of 100% goal-attainment and 95% student approval

- Grading assignments, preparing report cards, or managing the procedural burden typical of standard teaching positions
- Instructing toward standardized examinations or externally imposed assessment requirements

Senior Academic Coach Key Responsibilities
Guide a cohort of gifted K–12 learners to achieve proficiency in critical life skills and advance academically through tailored, high-expectation mentorship.
Basic Requirements
- Commitment to working on-site in Austin (Georgetown), TX
- Bachelor's degree from a premier university (Ivy League or comparable institution)
- Verified history of academic distinction (e.g., National Merit Finalist, academic Olympiad medalist, or accelerated college completion)
- Minimum of 3 years coaching, mentoring, or teaching students
- At least one distinguished academic credential: notable fellowship or scholarship (Rhodes, Fulbright, NSF GRFP, Gates), PhD, Mensa or Triple Nine Society membership, or university-level teaching background
- Daily self-reported engagement with generative AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar)
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship
Nice-to-have Requirements
- Master's degree from a highly ranked research institution
- Experience as a participant or coach in competitive academic competitions (MATHCOUNTS, Science Olympiad, national debate, or similar)
- Track record coaching high-performing students toward exceptional outcomes (elite college admissions, fellowship candidacies, competitive assessments)
- Expertise in cognitive science, educational psychology, or gifted and talented (GT) education

Working with us
- This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position.
- The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
- The compensation level for this role is $75 USD/hour, which equates to $150,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year.
- The payment period is weekly.
