SEND Tutor's Required in Kent
Job Summary
Prospero Teaching is seeking an Outreach Tutor to provide 1:1 education services to young people not attending school. The role involves creating and delivering tailored lessons to improve educational gaps, boost engagement, and enhance attainment levels.
About the role
The Outreach Tutor will work with students who have been out of education for some time, helping to reengage them in their learning and providing structure to their daily routines. The role requires a strong foundation in teaching qualifications such as QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent, with at least six months' experience in a UK school setting.
Responsibilities
- Create and plan bespoke education packages tailored to individual students' needs
- Deliver 1:1 lessons to bridge educational gaps and boost engagement and attainment
- Reengage students who have been out of education and help them regain confidence
- Maintain regular progress monitoring with each student and provide effective learning support
Requirements
- QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification
- At least six months' experience working in a UK school
- Up-to-date safeguarding training
Qualifications

- At least six months' experience working in a UK school
- Enhanced Child Barred List DBS certificate

Pay
£25 per hour
Schedule
Working hours can vary, with a minimum of 1 hour per session and a maximum of 3 hours per session.
