About the role
The Semiconductor Equipment Engineer is assigned to 4th shift with the hours of 4:30am to 5 pm Friday – Sunday (3x12) with 4 hours makeup. The role involves shift support, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing Wet Etch systems within a cleanroom environment. This includes high-level experience with electrical, electro-mechanical, and gas systems typical in semiconductor operations.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose equipment issues using experience, system knowledge, and technical manuals.
- Triage and repair equipment based on priority and operational needs.
- Support the Emergency Response Team (ERT) as needed.
Qualifications
- Typically require a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and/or repairing manufacturing equipment.
- Familiarity with SEMI 10 semiconductor standards.
- Read and understand equipment manuals and schematics.
- Have a fundamental knowledge of SPC controls with the ability to implement SPC control plans on existing equipment and new installations.
- Able to document work and provide detailed pass down.
- Experience with predictive maintenance and SPC controls using FDC software.
- Knowledge of thin-film metrology (ellipsometry, XRR, TEM, XPS, FTIR).
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and support a dynamic production setting.
- Proficient use of MS Office products.
