Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on heavy-duty trucks and trailers
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and software
- C Conduct repairs on brakes, suspensions, HVAC systems, and other vehicle systems
- Maintain accurate records of services, repairs, parts used, and time spent on each job
- Ensure all work complies with company safety policies and federal DOT regulations
- I Inspect and replace defective or worn parts using appropriate tools and equipment
- O Operate hoists, cranes, and hand/power tools in a safe and efficient manner
- C Collaborate with other technicians and communicate effectively with supervisors about repair needs and timelines
- P Perform emergency roadside repairs when necessary
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or diesel certification preferred
- 2+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy truck technician
- V Valid driver's license; CDL is a strong plus
- Knowledge of diesel engines, air brake systems, and electrical systems
- Must be physically able to lift up to 75 lbs
- E Exposure to loud noises, grease, diesel fumes, and heavy machinery
- M May require working evenings, weekends, or being on-call for emergency repairs
- P Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs
