Truck Technician

Job Summary

Diagnose failures and recommend appropriate repair procedures. Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards. Receives direction and supervision from the Service Supervisor. Work will be performed primarily on Peterbilt vehicles. Receives job assignments from the Service Writer/Advisor. Interacts with dealership personnel, manufacturer representatives, and customers. Provides mentorship to less-skilled technicians.

Job Qualifications

• Vocational diploma or degree in diesel or truck repair, equivalent military training, or previous equivalent experience is required.
• Must have strong computer skills.
• Class A or B CDL preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

• Regularly use hands to handle or feel
• Frequently reach with hands and arms
• Frequent and occasional standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
• Sit occasionally
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Regularly use color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Work in a work environment that may have both constant and sudden loud noises
