Requirements
Aid the account management team in servicing and retaining small employee benefits clients.
- Prepare materials for client meetings and renewals, including benefit summaries, annual changes, enrollment procedures, and clarifications.
- Collect census data from clients and gather general client information from identified carriers.
- Provide proactive, personalized support to a small list of assigned clients.
- Act as the primary point of contact between clients and insurance carriers, supported by a senior member of the service team.
- Respond to requests for information, documents, and employee benefits insurance inquiries.
- Coordinate and manage client communications via email, phone, and virtual meetings, supported by a senior member of the service team.
- Verify the accuracy of client plan documents.
- Offer general administrative support for the account management team.
- Introduce clients to USI's value-added services when appropriate.
- Maintain client documents in BenefitPoint, ImageRight, and network drives.
- Ensure accurate and timely responses to all outstanding issues.
- Respond to requests from all partners within stated timeframes.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal partners, clients, and carriers.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in the employee benefits industry or a related field.
- A college degree is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Must hold a life and disability insurance license.
- Knowledge of BenefitPoint and ImageRight is preferred.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable using internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products.
- Detail-oriented and prioritizes accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Eager to learn new concepts and engage in professional development.
- Open to feedback and coaching.
- Ability to define problems and generate potential solutions.
Benefits
- Competitive salary range: $50,000 - $65,000.
- Bonus eligible position with a target incentive of 5%.
Pay
$50,000 - $65,000 annually.
Schedule
Full-time position.
