Select Employee Benefits Senior Account Representative
Requirements
Assist account management team with the service and retention of small employee benefits clients.
- Aid account managers with preparation of materials for client meetings and renewals.
- Benefit summaries, annual renewal changes, enrollment procedures, and miscellaneous benefit changes/clarifications.
- Prepare client compensation disclosures.
- Collect census data from clients and gather general client information from identified carriers.
- Provide proactive, personalized support to a small list of assigned clients.
- Act as primary contact between clients and insurance carriers with support from a senior member of the service team.
- Respond to requests for information, documents, and employee benefits insurance inquiries.
- Cope with client communications via email, phone, and virtual online meetings with support from a senior member of the service team.
- Verify accuracy of client plan documents.
- Offer general administrative support for the account management team.
- Introduce clients to USI value-add services where appropriate.
- Maintain client documents in BenefitPoint, ImageRight and network drive.
- Ensure accurate and timely response to all outstanding issues.
- Respond to requests from all partners by stated timeframes.
- Erect effective working relationships with internal partners, clients, and carriers.
Qualifications
- At least 1-3 years of experience in employee benefits industry or related marketplace.
- A college degree preferred.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Must hold or be willing to earn life and disability insurance license within the first 90 days of employment.
- Knowledge of BenefitPoint and ImageRight preferred.
- Ability to set priorities and manage deadlines.
- Comfortable with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products.
- Detail oriented and prioritizes accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Eager to learn new concepts and further professional development.
- Open to feedback and coaching.
- Ability to define problems and generate potential solutions.
Benefits
Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000. This is a bonus eligible position with a target incentive of 5%.
