Duties and Responsibilities
- Creates and executes the go-to-market strategy for the Carbide Round tools business in APAC.
- Develops and manages product roadmaps and portfolio strategy.
- Analyzes and recommends new or modified channels.
- Identifies, supports, and drives plans to develop key growth markets, customers, and geographies.
- Builds supplier relationships and aligns their capabilities with market needs.
- Oversees operations and scales business as complexity increases.
- Drives product development initiatives with R&D, Process and operations teams.
- Collaborates with commercial teams to drive go-to-market strategies.
- Drives product development initiatives with R&D, Process and operations teams to complement the sourced portfolio with differentiated products manufactured by Hyperion, relevant to APAC.
- Collaborates and communicates with R & D, Operations, Marketing and Sales to develop products/product enhancements, pricing, marketing, sales tools and life cycle plans.
- Manages product life cycle from development of requirements, to product development, launch, sustaining and phase out.
- Forecasts sales volume requirements and actively participates in developing a forecast and managing inventory.
- Frequently engages with partners and customers across Asia.
- Develops strategies for new product introductions.
- Develops product launch plans to drive rapid sales ramp to target customers.
- Ensures maximum return on new product development investment by prioritizing product development projects based on potential growth and resource intensity.
- Supports efforts for lead generation and qualification.
- Participates with other senior managers in developing strategy for the entire company.
- Maintain close and regular contact with sales managers, customers, and distributors.
- Work with marketing team, other segment managers and R&D team to build application notes for new and existing applications.
Qualifications
- B-Tech or M-Tech in Mechanical or Materials Engineering / MBA preferred
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- At least 10 years commercial experience, product management desired, with extensive customer interaction.
- Proven track record of setting aggressive targets and meeting business goals through team interaction and involvement.
- Outstanding leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in manufacturing or supplier engagement.
- Experience of working in Hard Material segment will be an added advantage
- Demonstrated success in delivering market share, sales growth and profitability.
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning.
- Strong experience in product management and product development.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate on cross functional and global projects.
- Proficient computer skills required.
- 25–30% travel (primarily within Asia)
