Segment Leader – Product & Revenue Growth (Semiconductor Materials)
This is a strategic, commercially focused leadership opportunity responsible for driving profitable growth across a specialized semiconductor materials segment. You will combine revenue ownership, customer strategy, product management, and market development to shape how offerings reach enterprise customers.
About the role
The Segment Leader – Product & Revenue Growth will provide significant influence over product portfolios, pricing, packaging, content strategy, and go-to-market initiatives. You’ll work closely with sales, marketing, product, customer engagement, and executive stakeholders to translate customer needs into measurable business outcomes. A strong understanding of semiconductor materials and manufacturing will allow you to identify high-value opportunities and build trusted relationships across the industry. This is a fully remote role with regular travel to customers, trade shows, internal meetings, and industry events.
Responsibilities
- Own segment revenue targets, forecasting, quarterly business reviews, pricing strategies, and commercial plans, with a focus on maximizing customer lifetime value.
- Develop account expansion strategies across approximately 5–7 strategic accounts, identifying upsell, cross-sell, renewal, and new-logo opportunities.
- Build detailed growth plans using buying-center analysis and prioritize high-fit prospects within the segment’s serviceable addressable market.
- Partner with marketing and business development teams to generate qualified demand, improve lead-to-meeting conversion, and move nurtured contacts toward revenue opportunities.
- Increase active user adoption by identifying priority personas, developing high-value use cases, and creating targeted customer enablement initiatives.
- Monitor customer engagement and usage to identify renewal risks, coordinating with Sales, Customer Engagement, and Product teams to support a 95%+ renewal rate.
- Define product composition, channel combinations, bundles, offers, pricing, and packaging strategies that maximize customer value and revenue potential.
- Represent the voice of the customer by translating market feedback, customer requirements, and revenue opportunities into product roadmap recommendations.
- Partner with product teams to shape content strategies, identify content gaps, and prioritize initiatives based on customer demand, engagement potential, and commercial impact.
- Develop product positioning and differentiation strategies and recommend portfolio decisions, including launches, consolidations, and product sunsets.
- Identify, validate, and develop new product opportunities within the semiconductor materials segment in collaboration with Product Managers.
- Create case studies, segment-specific messaging, go-to-market materials, and Product Offer Activation programs.
- Develop sales enablement resources and training to help commercial teams communicate the value of products and solutions effectively.
- Build and maintain deep relationships with customers and prospects at multiple organizational levels, serving as a trusted advisor on market intelligence and business needs.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in sales, marketing, product management, segment management, or customer success, with a demonstrated record of commercial achievement.
- 5–10 years of experience within information services, research and analysis, SaaS, B2B technology, or a comparable industry.
- Direct experience working with semiconductor materials suppliers, including experience working for, selling to, or procuring from materials companies.
- Strong understanding of how semiconductor materials are used within device manufacturing processes.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher required; an MBA, MS, or other advanced degree is preferred.
- Proven ability to drive revenue growth, exceed commercial targets, and manage customer-facing business objectives.
- Experience working directly with enterprise customers and sales teams in complex, consultative sales environments.
- Demonstrated experience in product management, product strategy, or product marketing, including the ability to influence product direction.
- Experience with demand generation, lead nurturing, marketing campaigns, or other commercial growth programs.
- Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to translate market, customer, and commercial data into actionable strategies.
- Experience with revenue targets or budget responsibility is preferred.
- Strong consideration will be given to candidates with backgrounds in semiconductor design, manufacturing, supply chain, materials and chemicals—including wafers, gases, precursors, CMP slurries, and photoresists—or semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Strong understanding of technical content and market analysis within the semiconductor industry or related technical sectors.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and influence stakeholders across functions.
- Strong commercial judgment and the ability to balance customer requirements, product strategy, and revenue objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with customers and stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate broad commercial objectives into focused plans while maintaining strong execution.
- Willingness to travel approximately 20–30% for customer meetings, trade shows, internal meetings, and team collaboration.
- Ability to accommodate occasional work outside standard business hours when required to support customers in different time zones.
