About the Role
We are seeking experienced claims professionals to handle auto bodily injury and liability claims, including complex investigations, severe injuries, and coverage-related litigation.
Responsibilities
Auto Bodily Injury Claims Specialist
- Review and determine course of action on each assigned file to support final disposition of a loss.
- Conduct thorough investigations and maintain accurate documentation of file activity, including coverage, liability status, and damages.
- Process Bodily Injury and coverage claims in accordance with established office procedures.
- Collaborate with Third Parties, plaintiff counsel, Claim Director, and Chief Operating Officer to determine necessary injury and coverage investigations.
- Research case and statutory law to conduct proper claim investigations.
- Document policy status, coverage, liability, and damages on all claims; notify re-insurer on qualifying claims.
- Prepare and present claim evaluations for appropriate settlement authority.
- Maintain reasonable expense factors.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
Auto Liability Claims Specialist
- Review and determine course of action on each assigned file to support final disposition of a loss.
- Conduct thorough investigations and maintain accurate documentation of file activity, including coverage, liability status, and damages.
- Honor, decline, or negotiate first and third-party liability claims based on coverage, policy investigation, and analysis of damages and liability.
- Work directly with internal and external customers to develop evidence and establish facts on assigned claims.
- Organize, plan, and prioritize work activities to ensure prompt conclusion of claims.
- Prepare and present claim evaluations for the appropriate settlement authority.
- Notify the Underwriting Department of any adverse information uncovered during investigations.
- Familiarity with unfair claim practices in states where business is conducted.
- Conduct business with vendors professionally while maintaining reasonable expense factors and upholding company reputation.
- Provide customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Auto Bodily Injury Claims Specialist
- 3-5 years of auto casualty claims experience.
- Knowledge of legal and medical terminology.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to pass written examinations for state licensure as a claims adjuster, where required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Auto Liability Claims Specialist
- 2-3 years of previous auto insurance or related auto experience.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication (verbal, written, phone) skills.
- General working knowledge of policies, file procedures, state rules, and regulations.
- Ability to pass written examinations for state licensure as a claims adjuster, where required.

Pay
Estimated compensation range: $41,600/year – $75,000/year. Offered compensation will be based on experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location. Starting salary may vary by position depending on whether the role is in-office, hybrid, or remote.
