About the role
To support our mission of providing exceptional home health, palliative, and hospice care, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Volunteer Military Caregiver. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of veterans and their families.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support to veterans and their families
- Listen to and share experiences with veterans to foster trust and safety
- Reminisce and engage in activities that honor the shared experiences of military service
- Offer a listening ear and be a source of comfort during challenging times
Requirements
- Active or retired member of the U.S. Armed Forces
- Willingness to commit to regular volunteer hours
- Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with veterans and their families
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information
Qualifications
- Experience working with veterans and their families is a plus
- Passion for supporting the unique needs of veterans and their families
- Positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond

- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong listening and empathy skills
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in emotionally charged situations
