About the Role
As a Trainer, you will develop and deliver training on a variety of security topics in support of Inter-Con operations and contracts. You will present instructional content, conduct practical exercises, and assist in developing training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials. Responsibilities may include researching and recommending security program policies, analyzing new or existing security requirements, and ensuring compliance with internal and external mandates.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver training curriculum for security topics as assigned.
- Conduct classroom lectures, presentations, and practical exercises.
- Research and provide recommendations on security program policies and requirements.
- Maintain compliance with internal and external training mandates, including local, state, and federal authorities.
- Assist in developing training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
- Ensure training programs and materials are continually reviewed, evaluated, and updated to meet evolving needs.
- Provide analysis and recommendations regarding security requirements.
- Adhere to record-keeping and administrative requirements for company and state compliance.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree in Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, Police Science, Public Safety, or a related field preferred.
- Instructional Design or Learning Development Certification a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in training, education, instruction, professional development, military, or police training administration.
- Certified instructor for CPR, AED, and Adult First Aid (certifications accepted include Red Cross, ASHA, etc.).
- Experience with a systemic approach to training, including developing training programs, PowerPoints, syllabi, and testing materials.
- Knowledge of various training delivery methods (OJT, web-based, etc.) and types (technical, professional, team, safety, etc.).

Requirements

- Must meet requirements set forth by the Lautenberg Amendment.
- Physically fit and able to lift 35 pounds.
- Willingness to work in various environments, including indoor/outdoor shooting ranges and outdoor training facilities.
- Duty hours may vary and require work outside of the normal schedule to support training needs.
- May be required to travel on a rotational basis to conduct training.
