About the Role

As a Trainer at Inter-Con Security Systems, Inc., you will play a crucial role in curriculum development and training delivery across a variety of security topics. Your responsibilities will include presenting instructional content, conducting practical exercises, and ensuring compliance with internal and external mandates. You will also assist in developing training manuals, multimedia aids, and other educational materials.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver training programs using a standard classroom instruction format, supported by an academic "Instructional System (IS)" approach.
  • Apply a systemic approach to training, ensuring programs and materials are continually reviewed, evaluated, and developed to meet diverse needs.
  • Create training programs, PowerPoint presentations, syllabi, and testing materials.
  • Utilize various training delivery methods (OJT, web-based, etc.) and types (technical, professional, team, safety, etc.).
  • Serve as a certified instructor for CPR, AED, and Adult First Aid (certifications from Red Cross, ASHA, etc.).
  • Incorporate de-escalation training, defensive tactics, arrest and control techniques, and hospital security experience where applicable.
  • Maintain compliance with internal and external mandates, including local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Assist in the development of training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree in Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, Police Science, Public Safety, or related field preferred.
  • Instructional Design or Learning Development Certification a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in training, education, instruction, professional development, military, or police training administration.
  • Certified instructor for CPR, AED, and Adult First Aid.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Physically fit and able to perform activities such as running, jumping, and defensive tactical movements.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Must meet requirements set forth by the Lautenberg Amendment.

Additional Information

Duty hours may vary and include work outside the normal schedule. Travel may be required for training purposes. Must be willing to work in various environments, including indoor/outdoor shooting ranges and outdoor training facilities. Ability to lift 35 pounds is required.
