Skills And Responsibilities
- Install and update low voltage wiring for access control, cctv, data, intrusion, and other systems in commercial buildings
- Read project drawings and blueprints to determine scope of work and correct installation
- Test, troubleshoot and repair cabling systems already in place
- Perform inspections to ensure installations are according to code
- Complete detailed daily and inspection reports, documenting any issues
- Carry materials weighing 50 + pounds to the project location in either a new construction or occupied building
- Use power tools to complete installation and repairs
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace
Qualifications
- Five years or more of experience with access control, cctv, data, intrusion, and other systems in commercial buildings
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Work experience with low voltage structured cabling
- Experience with commercial and residential systems
- Troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work on ladders and lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to read and comprehend written communication
- Frequent use of stairs, climbing and descending
- Ability to stand up to 4 hours at a time
- Valid driver's license
