About the role
Become part of the Koorsen team, a leader in the fire and security industry. We seek experienced Security Systems Service Technicians in the Columbus, OH area to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, service, or repair low voltage electrical systems including Security Alarm, Fire Alarms, Video, Camera, and Access Control systems.
- Work with customers to identify necessary and desired system components.
- Manage system inventory and materials.
- Read wiring diagrams and systems blueprints to ensure proper and safe installation.
- Mount low voltage electrical devices and panels.
- Run and install wires according to manufacturer specifications and code.
- Complete necessary paperwork.
- Perform on-site troubleshooting when necessary to complete the job.
- Provide customer with system operation training.
- Keep work truck clean and organized.
- Manage inventory and tools for each job to ensure proper parts and tools are on hand.
- Conduct emergency calls on fire & security systems.
- Perform emergency assessments and return systems to proper operational status immediately.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 2+ years’ working experience in commercial security systems.
- 2+ years' experience servicing commercial security systems.
- Active Driver License in good standing.
- Must meet safe driving policy criteria to be an active company vehicle driver.
- Pass drug and background screenings.
- Able to climb ladders up to 12 feet.
- Willing to obtain state licenses if required.
Preferred
- Prior lift training and/or experience.
- Knowledge of construction site and workplace safety practices.
- Experience with multi-meter, man-lift operation, use of computers, and compass software.
