Security Systems Installer

What You Will Do

• Work onsite with commercial customers to set up and program Integrated Security systems
• Dismantle and reconstruct equipment as required by customer or Tyco Integrated Security
• Install appropriate devices
• Work safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused materials
• Clean up installation debris
• Contact customers prior to the date of scheduled installation to verify schedule
• Prepare estimates in accordance with prescribed instructions or directions of supervisor
• Follow proper schematic wiring diagrams and hook-up procedures
• Test operation of system to the signal-receiving center to properly establish service
• Read building, electrical and sprinkler blueprints as required
• Coordinate installations with police/fire departments and handle necessary records for notification of emergency calls
• Manage installation teams on larger projects as needed
• Coach and mentor less experienced installers

Requirements

• 1-2 years electrical and electronic equipment experience with demonstrated mechanical aptitude
• Experience working within the federal sector
• Must be a current union member or willing to join
• Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings
• Ability to operate hand and power tools
• Ability to operate fleet vehicle in a safe manner at all times
• Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service

Pay

$27.43 rate PLUS UNION BENEFITS determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
