Security Systems Engineer

Location: Northern California (field-based, covering client sites) Type: Full-time Salary: $90,000 + incentive plan, overtime and benefits The Company: A well-established US security systems integrator protecting the people, facilities and reputations of enterprise clients. The Role: A senior hands-on field engineering role installing, servicing and maintaining integrated security systems across a portfolio of enterprise client sites. You'll be the trusted technical lead on site, working with little supervision and representing the business directly to clients. Key Responsibilities Install, commission and repair CCTV (analog and IP), access control, intrusion and associated peripheral equipmentCarry out preventive maintenance on indoor and outdoor systemsDiagnose and resolve complex faults on service calls, keeping client downtime to a minimumPull, terminate and test cabling for new installs and upgradesWork at height using lifts, ladders and scaffolds with fall protectionDocument all installation and service activity accuratelyJoin the on-call rota and travel overnight to client sites as neededFollow customer and company safety and confidentiality standards Requirements 5+ years of hands-on experience installing and servicing enterprise electronic security systemsManufacturer certifications on several platforms (e.g. Honeywell, Pro-Watch, Kantech, American Dynamics, victor or other VMS)Advanced troubleshooting across integrated CCTV and access control systemsWorking knowledge of IP networking for security devices (PoE, VLANs, IP addressing)Confident with hand and power tools, MS Office and laptopsAble to lift an 80 lb extension ladder and work in all weather conditionsValid driver's license with a clean record; able to pass a drug screen and background checkHigh school diploma or equivalentOrganized, self-managing and a clear communicator with clientsDesirable: enterprise, data center or other critical-site experience Package $90,000 base salary plus overtimeAnnual incentive plan tied to company goalsPaid vacation and holidaysHealth and life insurance401(k) with employer match
