Security System Installation Technician
We are seeking Security Installation Technicians to support commercial security projects throughout the Charlotte and Charleston markets. This role is ideal for technicians with low-voltage, structured cabling, or security installation experience who want to continue developing their skills in access control, CCTV, and electronic security systems.
Responsibilities
- Install and service CCTV, IP camera, and access control systems
- Install card readers, badge readers, door contacts, sensors, mag locks, electric strikes, and push-to-exit devices
- Pull, route, dress, and terminate low-voltage cabling
- Read and interpret project drawings, device layouts, and installation documents
- Troubleshoot low-voltage and security systems
- Install and wire door hardware and access control equipment
- Maintain quality, safety, and installation standards on commercial job sites
- Support project completion schedules and customer requirements
Requirements
- 1+ year of low-voltage, structured cabling, or security installation experience
- Experience pulling, routing, dressing, and terminating low-voltage cabling
- Hands-on experience with cameras, access control systems, or related security devices
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Ability to read basic construction drawings and device layouts
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and in commercial construction environments
- Professional communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Nice to Have
- Experience with door hardware, mag locks, electric strikes, and card readers
- OSHA or BICSI certification
- Experience troubleshooting low-voltage systems
- Experience with security system programming or service work

Pay
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
