WHAT YOU'LL DOAs a Security System Designer I, you will be responsible for the quality assurance and quality control of assigned design packages. In this fast-paced entry-level role, you will have the opportunity to support our Engineers and System Designers and learn all aspects of Physical Security design. CORE COMPETENCIESGrowth Minded: Strong self-awareness of strengths and development areas with a curiosity and appetite for change and innovationAdaptable: Ability to adjust to changing circumstances, conditions, and tasks quickly and effectivelyCollaborative: Ability to solicit and understand multiple perspectivesEvaluative: Ability to evaluate outputs rigorously to ensure consistent excellence in deliveryAccountable: Assumes responsibility for successfully accomplishing work objectives and delivering results; setting high standards of performance for self and others POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESThe essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:Quality ControlReview and validate client project drawings for accuracy and ensure all QC checklist items are adhered to for each project deliverable.Incorporate feedback from the Engineer, System Designer II, and System Designer III for continuous improvement of drawing sets.DesignLearn and develop a working knowledge of drafting/modeling of the security floor layouts for access control, video, and other various security systems, wiring diagrams, schematics, and access control board layout drawings under the guidance of the Engineer, System Designer II, and System Designer III.ProductionUnder the general supervision of the Lead System Design Engineer, support basic design tasks, develop basic security floor layouts, and prepare system drawings.Maintain complete and orderly project files and documentation.CollaborateWork collaboratively with the Engineer, System Designer II, and System Designer III on projects from design to closeout.Assist the team with the preparation and assembly of documents and packages. WHAT YOU'LL NEEDExperience: 1+ years of Revit experience in a professional environment required. Revit experience in Security, Electrical, or Telecom fields preferredEducation: Associate degree, Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit for Electrical Design, or relevant work experienceKnowledge:Electronic security experience with vendor-specific knowledge (Lenel, Software House CCure 9000, DMP, Milestone, etc.) is a plusSkills:Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office softwareProficiency in Bluebeam preferred, Navisworks and Dynamo is a plusHighly organized with exceptional attention to detail and work qualityExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsAbilities:Tech-savvy professional, who is curious about new technologies and the demonstrated ability to apply new systems to everyday tasks WHAT WE OFFERCompetitive salary based on job-related skills, experience, and qualificationsZBeta is a remote-first company with a distributed team.
