About the role

The Security Supervisor at Shoreline Amphitheatre is responsible for supervising and coordinating security staff and other employees performing security services for guests. Duties include direct supervision, guest service, staff training, and compliance with policies and laws.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise security staff and other employees performing security services for guests.
• Provide guest service by greeting and assisting guests and responding to inquiries and complaints.
• Lead staff, conduct ongoing training, manage staff positioning, and ensure all staff are informed on event-specific details.
• Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures related to the security department, as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
• Oversee productivity and work assignments of the security staff, communicate challenges and status of assignments to the Security Manager (or designated Manager) before the end of the shift.
• Show CARE by participating in the venue's sustainability program, which may include implementing resource conservation and waste prevention programs, and educating fans about these efforts.
• Partner with fellow band members at the end of shows to close the venue, which may involve collecting recyclables from the lawn and/or reserved sections, picking up and storing event equipment.
• Train and evaluate security team members in venues, assign and schedule duties, coordinate rest and lunch periods, and write reports of daily activities and irregularities.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• In certain states, a Guard Card is a plus.
• Working knowledge of security operations, safety practices, and enforcement procedures.
• Strong strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• An acute sense of judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
• A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs.
• Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50 lbs+, and occasional sitting.

Qualifications
