Responsibilities

• Assist guests, maintain public safety, control access, and prevent unauthorized items from entering the venue.
• Supervise and direct security staff to implement the security plan.
• Provide guidance and lead improvements as necessary.
• Interact with guests in a friendly, courteous, and direct manner.
• Investigate and resolve issues and customer complaints.
• Circulate among guests to preserve safety, order, and protect property.
• Patrol premises to detect problems, threats, and unauthorized entry.
• Conduct searches of guests using physical pat downs, metal detector wands, and bag searches.
• Check tickets and passes to ensure guests are seated in the appropriate areas.
• Direct guests to appropriate seating areas and amenities, answer questions, and solve guest issues.
• Warn guests of rule infractions and apprehend or evict violators.
• Assist medics in reaching and removing guests in need of help.
• Complete written reports of incidents occurring during each event.
• Participate in post-event cleanup in the pavilion.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the Operations Manager.
• Display a positive customer service attitude.

Qualifications

• Constant walking, climbing stairs, standing required.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Experience with supervising a team of individuals in a group effort preferred.
• Live event security/Law Enforcement experience preferred.
• Good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices, and enforcement procedures.
• Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance.
• Ability to make good decisions within proper policy and procedures and use tact and diplomacy.
• Strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to express oneself in a professional, clear, and concise manner.
• Well-groomed appearance required.

Licenses or Certifications

• PSO certification/re-certification offered if not possessed or valid upon hire.
• NY Guard Card a plus.
• First Aid/CPR/AED desirable.
