Security Supervisor (Evening) Miami, FL

About the role

The Security Manager ensures the highest level of service to residents, guests, staff, and service providers. They must handle emergency situations, develop and implement safety and security plans, and manage the Security staff.

Responsibilities

• Short-term planning and daily operations of the Security staff
• Recommends and implements procedural changes
• Develops and implements safety, security, and emergency plans
• Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to departmental grooming standards
• Practices professionalism and excellent customer service
• Maintains a safe and secure environment
• Responds to emergency situations and coordinates with law enforcement
• Trains staff on fire prevention, safety, and emergency procedures
• Manages the security budget and monitors safety equipment

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• CLSS (Certified Lodging Security Supervisor) program completion with AHLA (American Hotel & Lodging Association)
• Valid Security D License
• College-level courses in business or hospitality preferred
• Two years' experience in managing Security staff, including hiring, training, and supervising
• Experience in managing Security departments in high-quality, luxury-oriented settings
• Ability to manage at least 13 people
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Multiple language fluency is desirable

Schedule

Saturday - Wednesday: 3pm to 11pm. Days off: Thursday and Friday.
