About the role
Oversees and maintains the flow and balance of work in the Security Department. Provides leadership, direction, and a working environment that promotes teamwork and customer satisfaction, and ensures that the standards of service are met for the Security department in a manner consistent with SMC's/EDM's mission, vision and values.

- Responsible for providing leadership, direction, and a working environment that promotes teamwork and customer satisfaction, and for ensuring that the standards of service are met for the Security department in a manner consistent with SMC's/EDM's mission, vision and values.
- Performs all of the duties and functions of a Security Officer, including initial incident response, interviewing and investigations.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree or, equivalent or two years of related training and experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferably in healthcare security.
- Upon hire: FEMA Level 100 or higher certification.
- Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role.
Qualifications
- Required Qualifications: Associate's Degree or, equivalent or two years of related training and experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferably in healthcare security.
- Preferred Qualifications: Upon hire: Basic Security Officer Certification and Supervisory Development Certification through International Association of Healthcare Security and Safety; 2 years of related experience and/or training desired, preferably in Healthcare Security and Safety.
