Security Supervisor

About the Role
This position is for a Security Supervisor overseeing a team of 5-10 personnel. The supervisor coordinates and directs contracted security personnel, including training, scheduling, and discipline. Responsibilities include managing schedules, ensuring proper coverage, assisting in emergencies, and maintaining positive client relationships. Each officer, including the supervisor, must perform duties according to post orders.

Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED (21+ and a Michigan CPL or LEOSA cardholder for armed security work).
- No felony convictions (per MCL 338.106010(1)(c)).
- No misdemeanor convictions related to dishonesty, fraud, impersonation of law enforcement, assault, weapons, unauthorized sale of information/evidence, controlled substances (including marijuana), or two+ alcohol-related offenses.
- Must pass a drug screening (including marijuana) at hire and randomly thereafter.
- Adhere to company Uniform and Appearance policy; present a professional image.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including de-escalation.
- Fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Valid Michigan driver’s license with a clean record (if driving company/client vehicles or using your own for work).
- Willingness to become CPR/First Aid/AED certified and capable of administering care.
- Able to move quickly, including running short distances, in emergencies.
- Physically and mentally sound; able to remain alert during shifts.
- Able to sit, stand, and walk for 8-12 hours, including navigating stairs.
- Able to work indoors/outdoors in all seasons.
- Able to use hands/fingers to manipulate keys, tools, and equipment.
- Able to hear conversations (in person or via 2-way radio) in noisy environments.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs (70 lbs for armed officers).
- Able to work independently with little supervision.
Schedule
- 1st shift: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
- 24/7 open availability required for supervisor duties.
- Full-time (40 hours per week).
Pay
$22.46/hour (set by contract, non-negotiable). Pay rates vary by contract and position.
