Security Specialist Team Lead

About the role

Koniag Technology Solutions, Inc., a Koniag Government Services Company, seeks a Security Specialist Team Lead with a Top-Secret clearance and SCI eligibility. The position supports KTS and the FBI Laboratory Division in Quantico, VA, overseeing 24/7/365 security coverage.

Responsibilities

• Manage contractor personnel and work assignments
• Ensure all performance requirements and service levels are met
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and operational coverage
• Implement quality control processes
• Coverage with Government stakeholders
• Identify and resolve performance issues
• Execute security operations across all required functions
• Maintain continuous situational awareness
• Support access control, personnel security, and physical security operations
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Support incident response and emergency procedures
• Perform duties across multiple security disciplines as required
• Use FBI access control databases, including Phoenix and SOPU Gatekeeper
• Conduct scattered castles and/or DISS verifications as requested
• Process incoming Visitor Access Requests (VAR)
• Prepare electronic communications (ECs) in Sentinel as required
• Process FBI Limited Access Request (LAR) paperwork
• Issue badges and IDs in accordance with policy
• Monitor CCTV video
• Conduct perimeter checks
• Coordinate with QSOC for emergency response and alarm activity
• Screen visitors and belongings with X-ray machines and metal detectors
• Assist with escort duties as needed
• Act on behalf of the Contractor and ensure contract compliance

Requirements

• Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree in any field or 5 years of experience in security-related fields
• Skills: Proficiency in creating complex spreadsheets, preparing briefings, Word, and Adobe Acrobat; excellent communication and briefing skills; ability to handle sensitive equipment and conduct security screenings
• Clearance: Final Top-Secret personnel security clearances and eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) special access

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial, physical, and computer/network security
• Ability to communicate clearly and provide security briefings/debriefings
• Professional, customer-service oriented demeanor

Pay
