Responsibilities
- Participates in the ongoing deployment of patches and anti-virus to the enterprise environment.
- Configures and monitors information and/or physical security tools to mitigate cyber threats and produce alerts and reports.
- Develops and maintains risk assessment and disaster recovery processes, and tracks associated applications and infrastructures.
- Develops and maintains security policies, procedures, and related training and awareness activities.
- Develops and monitors an enterprise-wide security controls matrix and responds to audit and examination evidence requests.
- Leverages analytic tools to prepare reports from aggregated security tool outputs.
- Develops workflows and processes for security processes like disaster recovery testing, incident response, access provisioning, and annual reviews.
- Investigates suspicious incidents and policy violations, and coordinates with law enforcement and departments.
- Installs, upgrades, configures, and monitors security tools to mitigate vulnerabilities and ensure alert production, and collaborates with service providers to maintain service levels.
- Ensures all departmental documents and activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, including completing required compliance training.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- AS/AA Degree from an accredited university/college
- One to two years of experience in operations, systems development, or security roles
- CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network +, or equivalent certification, or willingness to obtain such a certification within 12 months of employment
- Skills in reading, writing, and presenting information
- Ability to understand and apply financial reports and legal documents
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Physical requirements include an aptitude for mastering new IT processes and tools, a passion for developing mature processes, and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
