Under careful supervision, this individual will work under the guidance and direction of the Special Program Security Manager at our Poway, GA-ASI Campus. The role supports the administration of several security projects in a dynamic environment alongside a team of security professionals, with a focus on implementing national security directives, particularly DoD 5205.07 SAP Manual, Vols 1-4.
Responsibilities
- Administer and coordinate all aspects of security activities in accordance with company policies and federal security regulations to ensure compliance with safeguarding National Security Information.
- Oversee incoming and outgoing DoD documents.
- Prepare, review, and submit personnel security access requests.
- Investigate and review all security violations, preparing reports and recommending preventive and corrective actions.
- Act as security spokesperson to brief/debrief personnel.
- Develop, implement, and manage Standard Operating Procedures and Automated Information Systems.
- Respond to day-to-day security needs of the program staff as Alternate/Assistant Contractor Program Security Officer.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Serve as the focal point for receiving, processing, distributing, and controlling all classified documentation (hard copy and electronic media), including electronic data transfer.
- Prepare, review, and process personnel security clearance requests.
- Implement visitor control procedures ensuring compliance with National Policy.
- Maintain receipt and dispatch, document control, personnel records, and combination records.
- Implement and manage access control systems for classified areas.
- Access, review, and submit Program Access Requests using JADE and other Government Systems as required.
- Maintain PERSEC forms and data in accordance with National Policy.
- Prepare and administer program indoctrination and debriefings.
- Prepare and submit status reports to applicable government agencies.
- Provide oversight of SAPs, including support for development, review, and maintenance of program security documentation.
- Set up SAPF in accordance with National Policy (physical security, facility security, access control, network and IT security, cryptography, personnel, etc.).
- Manage the annual inventory of accountable holdings in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline and six or more years of professional classified security experience in a corporate or government environment. Equivalent experience may substitute for education.
- Experience with DoD processes and procedures or an equivalent regulatory environment and/or military training.
- Ability to identify issues and develop solutions to a variety of problems.
- Strong communication, computer, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Completion of Industrial Security Management, DCSA Certification, and COMSEC courses, as well as access control database experience, is preferred.
- Ability to initiate and plan projects and analyze and interpret data.
- Ability to produce clear, concise, and detailed documentation.
- Must be able to work independently and in a team.
- Able to work extended hours and travel as required.
Pay
Salary range: $73,700 – $128,780
