Security Specialist

Responsibilities

• Aid in the implementation of the Information Security program to ensure classified material is protected according to DOD, USAF, AFMC, and local directives.
• Support the implementation of the Industrial Security program to ensure all industrial security rules and policies are followed according to DoD, USAF, AFMC, and local directives.
• Assist with the completion of personnel security investigation paperwork, review packages for accuracy, and assist with tracking personnel security clearances.
• Maintain a Defense Information System for Security (DISS) account at all times to receive/send visits and perform other personnel security actions in the program.
• Assist personnel with completing personnel security investigation paperwork, review packages for accuracy, and assist with tracking personnel security clearances.
• Maintain a DISS account at all times to receive/send visits and perform other personnel security actions in the program.
• Be familiar with Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705, Physical Security Standards for Special Access Program Facilities.
• Conduct annual refresher security training for security procedures.
• Open/close and alarm/disarm ACS secure facilities as part of daily duties.
• Affirmatively assist with the implementation of the Resource Protection, Force Protection, Operations (OPSEC) Security, and Anti-Terrorism (AT) programs in accordance with DOD, USAF, AFMC, and local directives.
• Affirmatively assist with the development and maintenance of time-phased, event-driven Security Classification Guides (SCGs), Program Security Directives (PSDs), Technology Assessment and Control Plans (TA/CPs), and Program Protection Plans (PPPs).
• Affirmatively assist with the development and/or maintenance of the Physical Security requirements for USG facilities/organizations to include preparing all required documentation for secure facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Technical Experience Requirements

• Active Top Secret Clearance.
• US Citizen.
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
• Twelve (12) years of relevant experience.
