Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of comprehensive security protocols for Special Access Programs (SAPs) in strict accordance with DoD Manual 5205.07 and other relevant government regulations.
- Support the development, coordination, and enforcement of facility and program-specific SAP Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring they remain current and aligned with overarching guidance from the USMC SAP Central Office (SAPCO).
- Aid in the execution of the Security Education, Training, and Awareness (SETA) program, including the administration of initial security briefings, annual refresher training, and event-driven training for all SAP-accessed personnel.
- Manage physical and logical access control systems for SAP facilities (SAPFs), including managing visitor control and escort procedures, and verifying personnel clearances and SAP access eligibility using designated systems of record (e.g., DISS, JADE or its successor).
- Control the accountability and distribution of all SAP-classified materials, managing receipt, distribution, reproduction, and destruction, and supporting annual inventories.
- Participate in internal and external SAP Security Compliance Inspections, prepare for and support these inspections, document findings, and track corrective action plans.
- Conduct periodic inspections of facilities to ensure continuous compliance with stringent physical security standards, and report and manage security incidents and violations.
- Maintain meticulous and audit-ready records for personnel security files, SAP access rosters, visit certifications, and other critical SAP documentation.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in DoD and/or IC security, with at least 1 year of direct, hands-on experience working within a Special Access Program environment.
- A high school diploma. Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Completion of foundational CDSE/STEPP security training is required; SAP-related training is highly desirable.
- Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and willingness to consent to a CI Polygraph.
- Working knowledge of SAP security policies and procedures is required.
- Proficiency with the Defense Information System for Security (DISS), Joint Access Database Environment (JADE) and other security management software is necessary.
- Proficient in various types of information technology applications, such as Microsoft Office (MS Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint), SharePoint and Adobe.
- Excellent organizational skills and a high degree of attention to detail are required.
Pay
Pay Transparency Statement: AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $85,000.00/Yr. - USD $100,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
