About the role
Responsible for low to moderate-scale security assignments with moderate direction from senior team members. Develops fundamental understanding of basic security. Assists in gathering, investigating, and analyzing security requirements, processes, and incidents. Assesses security controls through security testing or other means to ensure effectiveness. Develops and maintains necessary documentation of security systems, projects, and/or processes to ensure unified understanding of system details. Often involved directly in implementation, support, and/or usage of technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Administer, support, and optimize enterprise Physical Access Control Systems (PACS), Video Management Systems (VMS), intrusion detection platforms, and perimeter security technologies.
- Support end-to-end security system lifecycle activities including design, installation, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, patching, troubleshooting, and system optimization.
- Assist with security system integrations and technology modernization initiatives.
- Perform system monitoring, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of server infrastructure, applications, field devices, and supporting technologies.
- Cook up with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to resolve system issues and ensure operational effectiveness.
- Participate in security projects, technology deployments, upgrades, and remediation initiatives.
- Support implementation of new physical security technologies and enhancements.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, standards, and operational guides.
- Produce status reports, project updates, and technical presentations for leadership and stakeholders.
- Support compliance, audit, regulatory, and governance requirements associated with physical security technologies.
- Assist in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving security technology issues through analysis and evaluation of available information.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on process efficiency, system reliability, and risk reduction.
- Champion operational excellence and adherence to security standards, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively across multiple teams while supporting enterprise security objectives.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise physical security technologies, security operations, or related technical environments.
- Experience with enterprise access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and perimeter security systems.
- Strong understanding of security system architecture, server infrastructure, hardware deployment, system administration, and lifecycle management.
- Experience leading or supporting technology projects, system upgrades, migrations, and vendor implementations.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks, audit support, security governance, and risk management practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Experience working in highly collaborative environments supporting multiple business partners and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Lenel OnGuard Certification preferred.
- CISSP or other security-related certifications preferred.
- Experience with PACS, CCTV/VMS, intrusion detection, and perimeter protection technologies.
- Basic networking knowledge including: TCP/IP, Switching and routing, Subnetting, Wireless technologies, Fiber and copper transmission.
- Experience supporting enterprise-class server environments and security applications.
- Ability to understand and troubleshoot integrated security technologies and system communications.
Technical Skills
- Lenel OnGuard Certification preferred.
- CISSP or other security-related certifications preferred.

Additional Information
- Some travel may be required.
- The position may require participation in an on-call rotation supporting 24x7x365 operations.

- Bachelor's Degree; OR associate degree with 2 years of relevant experience in system administration, help desk, cybersecurity, or physical security;
- Associate degree with 2 years of relevant experience in system administration, help desk, cybersecurity, or physical security;
- High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of relevant experience in IT system administration, help desk, cybersecurity, or physical security;
- High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of relevant experience in IT system administration, help desk, cybersecurity, or physical security;
- Graduation from an approved Cybersecurity Program;
- Graduation from an approved Cybersecurity Program;
- Equivalent hands-on technical experience demonstrated through assessment and technical evaluation.

- Work Experience requirement listed below:
- 2+ years of Information Technology related experience;
- 1+ years of security-related experience, which may include military or government service.
Compensation
Compensation Grade: SP20-007
Compensation Range: $87,633.00 - $109,543.00
Physical Demand Level
