SECURITY SHIFT SUPERVISOR - TRACK

Responsibilities

• Ensures Security Officers are properly trained, certified and current for all aspects of their job duties by providing ongoing instruction and program management.
• Adheres to all Indiana Horse Racing Commission regulations and promotes an outgoing, friendly customer-oriented personality at all times.
• Provides basic security coverage ensuring that adequate protection is provided for the safety and assets of patrons, Team Members, vendors and the company.
• Attends meetings and is available for on call situations as needed.
• Performs multiple Security Staff functions if needed in coordination with the guidelines set by the Indiana Horse Racing Commission in areas such as Alcohol Testing, Barn Walker, Back Gate, Front Paddock, Grandstands, Stable Gate, OTB Post, Paddock, Parking Control, Test Barn, Escort Assignment, Veterinarian Escort, and Winners Circle.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED is required; college-level training is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory role.
• Outstanding interpersonal communication, organizational, planning and documentation skills.
• Excellent computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft software products such as Word, Excel and Project.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, bend, lift, grip tools, and utilize a computer without limitation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, and capability to multi-task in a dynamic work environment.
• Valid Motor Vehicle License with good driving record.
• CPR/ AED/ First Aid certification and Indiana Horse Racing Commission licensure.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand/walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to work in a noisy, smoke-filled, with close quarters, and hot/cold in excessive weather conditions; depending on your work area.
