Responsibilities
- Follow all company personnel and safety policies and perform all assigned duties in a safe and professional manner.
- Serve as a working shift leader responsible for overseeing access control operations, leading a team of security professionals, and ensuring the safety and security of personnel, facilities, and government assets at Redstone Arsenal.
- Communicate and coordinate daily security operations with DASG leadership and designated Government personnel.
- Conduct guard mount activities, personnel inspections, post checks, and quality control reviews of assigned security personnel.
- Ensure proper screening of personnel, vehicles, packages, and materials entering the installation.
- Monitor the use of Automated Installation Entry (AIE), facial recognition, RFID, and other access control systems to ensure proper installation access procedures are followed.
- Respond to incidents, emergency situations, gate runner events, vehicle inspections, and security violations in accordance with established procedures.
- Provide emergency notifications to appropriate agencies and ensure required reports are completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
- Provide guidance, training, mentoring, and operational support to security personnel to ensure mission readiness and contract compliance.
- Maintain accountability of assigned personnel, equipment, uniforms, and duty status.
- Provide professional customer service to military personnel, government employees, contractors, and others.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- At least 18 years of age.
- U.S. Citizen or lawful U.S. resident authorized to work in the United States.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience as a direct supervisor of armed or unarmed security guards or police personnel, including scheduling, training, and personnel management.
- Active Alabama unarmed guard license required.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Successfully passed all required background investigations, installation access requirements, and medical screenings.
- Completed all required contract, Army, and installation-specific training.
- Passed and maintained the required Physical Agility Test consisting of 19 pushups in two minutes and a 5-mile run in 17 minutes and 30 seconds.
- Able to obtain and maintain Redstone Arsenal installation access.
- Able to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, day shifts, swing shifts, and extended hours as mission requirements.
