Security Shift Manager

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and manage daily operations in the Security department.
• Support, administer, and manage operational goals, monitor performance and profit objectives, and assist in creating effective and efficient schedules.
• Assist in the budget process for the department, providing recommendations and ensuring compliance with budget initiatives.
• Support, promote, and demonstrate superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards.
• Ensure customer service standards are followed by all team members and address issues as they arise.
• Train shift personnel in emergency operating procedures.
• Enforce internal control policies and procedures, including underage gambling and drinking laws.
• Maintain safety and inspection reports for the property.
• Prepare security incident reports and maintain security logs.
• Respond to guests and team member concerns and complaints with professionalism and compassion.
• Interact and cooperate with regulatory, fire/rescue, and law enforcement agencies.
• Ensure security officers adhere to uniform dress and grooming standards.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age.
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A / B.S.) in a related field, or four years of casino Security, military, or police experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of security protocols.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Effective presentation and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
• Ability to obtain a Maryland Lottery License before start date.
