Responsibilities
- Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Golden Nugget and departmental policies and procedures.
- Consistently deliver positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors and fellow employees.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service.
- Manage security personnel, enforce gaming regulations and property policies, handle emergency responses, and manage investigations to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
- Manage graveyard departments without a supervisor, often working flexible hours including weekends.
Qualifications
- Excellent guest service skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with management and employees.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Ability to effectively communicate with guests and employees one on one, and within small and large groups.
- Ability to prepare, analyze and interpret documents.
- Ability to prepare organized and thorough reports.
- Ability to prepare and present information in an organized and clear manner.
- Ability to identify and foresee concerns based on reviews of incidents and trends.
- Ability to interview employees in an effective manner.
- Ability to thoroughly investigate a variety of incident types.
- Advanced computer skills. Oracle, Office, iTrak, etc.
- Ability to stay organized and focused on tasks and assignments.
- Ability to remain calm and make reasonable decisions, including during high stress situations.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision.
- Ability to use CCTV for extended periods of time.
- Ability to obtain and retain a Nevada concealed weapons permit (CCW).
- Ability to understand and maintain knowledge of company and department rules, policies and procedures, city and state laws, safety regulations, gaming regulations and labor laws.
- Must successfully complete company and gaming background screening process.
- Must successfully complete and legally possess the following training certifications:
- Current State issued Driver’s License
- American Red Cross or equivalent adult First Aid/CPR Certification
Qualifications (continued)
- Minimum age requirement is 21.
- PLEASE NOTE: THIS POSITION REQUIRES A GAMING LICENSE BY THE NEVADA GAMING CONTROL BOARD
- Education And/or Experience: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two (3) years of casino security and/or law enforcement/military supervisory experience.
- Good verbal and written communications and organizational skills required.
- Excellent guest and employee relations skills.
- Ability to investigate incidents and write reports.
- Working knowledge of hotel/casino security operations is preferred.
- Mandatory Training: Must Successfully Complete The Following Training Certifications
Physical Demands
- Ability to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.
- Ability to regularly move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 50 pounds.
- Constantly walking up to distances of 500 ft. during shift.
- Frequently stooping, reaching.
Work Environment
- Work performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment.
- There are occasional hot and cold temperature changes.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a smoke-filled environment.
- Work with others in close spaces.
- Moderate to high noise levels.
- Walk/stand on tile/mats/carpet/cement.
