Security Shift Manager

About the role

The Security Shift Manager oversees the security shift to ensure the safety and protection of guests, team members, and company assets.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of guests, team members, and company assets.
• Manage programs and processes to reduce and control loss time injuries.
• Delegate authority and assign responsibilities.
• Develop and evaluate staff, designing training programs.
• Assist with interviewing and selection.
• Investigate incidents and/or customer complaints, compiling data for accurate reporting.
• Ensure all policies and procedures are being followed and monitored during the shift.
• Meet with directors and managers as necessary.
• Complete and process performance reviews.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Demonstrated management abilities in managing security operational effectiveness.
• Maintain interpersonal working relationships among all personnel.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of the Emergency Disaster Plan Manual.
• Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of shift.

Qualifications

• Two to five years’ experience as a security guard or law enforcement agent.
• A 2-year degree in related fields or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Valid Racing License.
