Security Screener - Per Diem

About the role

Responsible for the monitoring of the security station equipment.

Responsibilities

• Monitors the x-ray machine while packages, briefcases, purses, etc. are checked.
• If there is a problem, will alert Security Officer.
• Monitors the walk-thru metal detectors as person walks through.
• When necessary, will use handheld wand to further search a person.
• Could be required to monitor a door camera system.
• Assists visitors with questions and directs them to specific offices.
• Reports unusual, questionable or suspicious activities to a supervisor.
• Obeys all safety rules and regulations.
• Must be able to work various shifts as assigned by a supervisor.
• As required, performs similar or related duties and a variety of services.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be in continued good condition, both physically and mentally; capable of working shift work.
• Mature and courteous manner is essential.

Schedule

Part‑time, per diem position; hours worked may not exceed 1,000 per year.
