Week 1: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday – 11 pm to 7 am
Week 2: Friday – 11 pm to 7 am

Summary

Responsible for functioning as the dispatcher of the Security Operations Center (SOC) for LG Health. The SOC serves as a central hub for receiving security assistance calls, dispatching, and tracking Hospital Security Officers on emergent and non‑emergent events.

Responsibilities

• Operate a radio dispatch center for incoming and outgoing communications.
• Elevate response to local emergency responders as necessary when incidents exceed internal capabilities, in alignment with HICS standards.
• Monitor access control operations and burglar alarms.
• Provide staff protection and patient elopement monitoring.
• Oversee a video surveillance center for camera monitoring.
• Manage computer‑aided dispatch (CAD) and incident reporting applications.
• Follow Emergency Procedures Guidelines (Code K, H, Blue, Grey, Condition 8, Red, Yellow, Green, Amber, and Black).
• Provide directions to LGH for patients and visitors.
• Handle license‑plate and employee parking sticker information look‑up.
• Coordinate requests for county emergency resources to LGH.
• Bridge communications between facility operations teams and external emergency resources until a unified command is established.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• 1+ years experience in EMS, emergency dispatching, police, fire, or security, or 1 year working with policy, hospital, and/or community transport.
• Recognized Telecommunicator Course completion or EMT certification.
