About the role
As a Security Officer X-Ray Screener in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. In this fast-paced environment, you will use X-ray screening and access control procedures to identify potential concerns, support badge management, and provide exceptional customer service. You will maintain a professional presence, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and help support a secure environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Screen personnel, visitors, and items entering designated areas in accordance with established procedures; report prohibited items, access concerns, and unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
- Verify identification, credentials, delivery documentation, and access authorization before permitting entry to restricted or controlled areas.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of designated operational areas, access points, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Requirements
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Guard card or license is preferred.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
