About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, remain visible to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to employees and visitors. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of distribution operations, loading areas, parking areas, building entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
- Monitor access points and vehicle traffic, verify credentials or authorization as directed by site procedures, and document security-related observations and incidents.
- Support a professional environment at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location while following Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.
Requirements
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
