What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or guests while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and report relevant information according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, classrooms, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the educational location, providing directions and assistance to authorized individuals as needed.
- Document incidents, patrol activities, and security-related observations accurately and communicate concerns to Allied Universal leadership and/or site representatives.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
