Security Officer - Weekdays Night Shift

About the role

As a Security Officer Screening Support in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help support access screening operations, monitor assigned areas, and conduct routine patrols to help reduce security-related incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screens persons, bags, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving designated areas in accordance with site procedures and escalation guidelines.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document screening results, unusual activity, and/or incidents in required logs and reports.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying supervisors and/or appropriate personnel when additional support is needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around screening areas, operational spaces, and the perimeter to help identify unauthorized activity and/or policy concerns.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Skills

• Access control and badge experience.

• Loss prevention experience.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
