Job Description
As a Security Officer Screening Operator in Zionsville, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct screening activities, and support security-related operations through visible presence, routine patrols, and strong communication. What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Screen individuals, personal property, and/or shipments entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and client-directed procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner and report security-related concerns to site leadership.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access to operational and restricted areas.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with attention to docks, trailer areas, sorting areas, and other high-traffic locations.
Minimum Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
