Security Officer Weekdays Evenings Shift Supervisor

About the role
The Shift Security Supervisor will supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality services on a specific shift at an assigned customer site. The Security Shift Supervisor will act as a liaison between site supervisor, Account Manager/Field Operations Manager, and professional security officers. Supervise staff on assigned shift, providing coaching, recognition, and discipline within approved empowerment range. A security shift supervisor is a key member of the security supervisory team, responsible for the safety and security of people, property, and exhibits. They may also provide training and guidance to security staff.
Responsibilities
- Manage security personnel, including assigning tasks, delegating duties, and monitoring performance.
- Conduct briefings with the security team.
- Respond to security incidents and notify the proper authorities and clients.
- Monitor security systems and CCTV, and perform regular patrols to identify potential breaches.
- Ensure post orders are followed by security officers and other personnel.
- File required reports and maintain daily records of security-related incidents.
- Train security staff, including new hires and current staff, covering topics such as workplace searches, drug and alcohol procedures, and other safety and security protocols.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
- Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public professionally.
- Ability to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting.
- Ability to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- For driving positions: valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in the last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in the last 24 months), and the ability to safely operate a vehicle.
- Intermediate computer skills to utilize innovative, wireless technology at client-specific sites.
- Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the client site calmly and efficiently.
- Display exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of security experience.
- Valid Driver’s License meeting AU Driver Policy Requirements.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
Pay
$23.00 per hour.
