Security Officer Water Plant
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, operational areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report maintenance, access control, and/or security-related concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and support adherence to site rules, visitor processes, and/or vehicle and pedestrian traffic procedures.
Requirements
- Two or more years of security-related experience is required.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
