About the role

As a Security Officer Warehouse Entrance in Melville, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouse spaces, loading zones, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, check credentials as required, and report suspicious behavior, damaged equipment, and/or policy violations according to site protocols.
• Support day-to-day operations by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with traffic and visitor movement, and completing routine reports related to security-related activities.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have supervisory experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum age requirement for unarmed roles: 18 years old.
• Minimum age requirement for armed roles: 21 years old.
