About the role
As an Access Control Officer at a healthcare location, you will verify credentials, manage entry points, assist visitors, monitor activity, and conduct routine patrols. Your professional presence and clear communication will help deter security-related incidents while creating a welcoming environment. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors while following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the healthcare location.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, issue visitor passes, and manage entry to restricted areas in accordance with established protocols.
- Maintain accurate access-control logs and report unauthorized entry attempts, suspicious activity, and policy violations.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and perimeter to help identify access-control concerns and other security-related issues.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
