Security Officer Visitor Verification

Join Allied Universal at a dynamic education location where you will help support access control operations, monitor activity, verify credentials, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Monitor entrances, verify identification and/or authorization, manage visitor check-in procedures, and help to control access to designated areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with campus contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, common areas, and perimeter locations to help to identify unusual activity and support security-related protocols.
• Assist students, staff, faculty, and visitors with directions, information, and reporting procedures while maintaining awareness of access points and location expectations.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must be willing to undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Skills

• Customer service experience.
