Security Officer Visitor Registration

About the role

As an Access Control Security Officer at a residential community, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying authorized access, and assisting residents and visitors with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor, vendor, and delivery authorization, and maintain accurate access-related records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters as directed by site policy.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with residents, guests, management, and emergency responders while supporting a welcoming residential environment.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Qualifications

• Licenses and certifications are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
